SUMMARY:Philly Deltas Walking Challenge 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter would like for our members\, family and friends to step into wellness by walking in support of our charitable partners. This year there are four (4) walks sponsored by charitable partners in the month of October\, and to motivate and incentivize you to participate in as many as possible we have created a Walking Challenge. For every walk you complete and donation you make (no donation amount is too big or too small) your name will be entered into our Wellness Prize Drawing for a $250 gift card to Restore Hyper Wellness spa with locations throughout the country\, including PA\, NJ and DE. The more walks you participate in the better your chances are to be a winner!!! Get a friend or family member to sign up for one or more of the PhillyDeltas Teams and earn one additional prize entry for each walk you complete with a registered partner—it can be a different partner for each walk! \nPlease click the link below where you and your family and friends can choose your walk(s) and join the PhillyDeltas Team. After each walk is completed (including donation) your name will be entered into the drawing by a Charitable Partner or Physical and Mental Health Committee member. \n4 Walks. 4 Causes. One Sisterhood. Every step helps to save lives! \nCLICK HERE TO PARTICIPATE! \n**FOR SORORS ONLY!!**

SUMMARY:Philly Deltas Blood Drive
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, September 12\, 2026\, from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia (formerly Gratz College)\, the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter Charitable Partners and Physical and Mental Health Committees will host a Blood Drive in support of the American Red Cross and National Sickle Cell Awareness Month and in partnership with Theta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority\, Inc. and The Keith Dawson Foundation. \nThe event is open to the public\, however we have made it convenient for members of the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter to donate immediately following chapter meeting. \nOur donation matters because sickle cell disease affects approximately 100\,000 Americans\, more than 90% of whom are Black or African American. For patients who require frequent transfusions\, finding closely matched blood is critical. The American Red Cross reports that Black donors can be especially important because certain red-blood-cell characteristics are more commonly shared among people of similar racial or ethnic backgrounds\, increasing the likelihood of a compatible match and helping reduce transfusion complications. For us\, donating blood is more than giving—it is service\, sisterhood and the possibility of someone getting another tomorrow. \nMeet Chris\, one of the approximately 100\,000 Americans living with sickle cell disease. As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity\, Inc.\, he understands the power of our Divine Nine community. He relies on regular blood transfusions and credits generous blood donors and his strong support system with helping him continue his fight. \nOur goal is at least 25 DONORS—and we need you! \nSchedule your appointment today at RedCrossBlood.org — use Sponsor Code DSTCEPKDF \nIt is recommended that you begin to prepare for your donation before the appointment. Please review the attached tips for boosting your iron and preparing for your life saving appointment. \nOur blood. Our community. Our opportunity to serve.
