Please join us for a day of family, fun and donations as we support persons living with Sickle Cell Disease and educate the community on healthy living.

Why are blood donations so important for patients living with Sickle Cell Disease?

– In the US, an estimated 100,000 people of various racial and ethnic backgrounds have SCD, with the majority being of African descent.
– SCD affects 1 out of every 365 Black or African American births.
– People with SCD may need as many as 100 units of blood each year.
– For those with SCD, blood from people of the same race or similar ethnicity is important in ensuring the best transfusion results with the least potential reaction
– Your blood donations could help alleviate the symptoms of someone living with SCD, or even help save their life.

Please join us in making a difference in the lives of persons living with Sickle Cell Disease by signing up for this special blood drive for persons living with Sickle Cell Disease. Scan the QR Code or CLICK HERE to sign up!
